A Hearty Homemade Breakfast — Included With Every Stay

Divider in Seams Like Home B&B

Waking up at Seams Like Home means waking up to something truly special. Every guest enjoys a full home-cooked breakfast included with their stay — the kind of morning meal that reminds you why bed and breakfast travel is in a class of its own. Donna brings the same love and care to the breakfast table that she brings to everything at the inn, crafting dishes made from scratch that are both nourishing and memorable. From savory egg fritattas to sweet baked oatmeal, the food here has become a highlight guests talk about long after they’ve returned home — and many come back year after year just as much for the breakfast as for the beautiful Laurel Highlands surroundings.

The recipes served at Seams Like Home are rooted in decades of home cooking, family tradition, and genuine hospitality. Guests often ask for the recipes, and now they can take them home! Many of Donna’s most beloved breakfast and meal recipes are featured in the Seams Like Home Cookbook, available in both print and digital editions. Whether you’re a Great Allegheny Passage cyclist fueling up for the trail, a quilting retreat group gathered around the table, or simply a couple enjoying a peaceful getaway, breakfast at Seams Like Home is the perfect way to start your day in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

What Our Guests Say

Quilting Friends from Zanesville, Ohio

Our group has been coming to “Seams Like Home” for over 10 years now experiencing the delicious meals served here. A group of us quilters were on a bus trip in Pennsylvania and stopped at the quilt shop, Sew Special, in downtown Uniontown in 2010, when Donna told us about their new retreat,
“Seams Like Home.” We were the first group of quilters to book a retreat there. We loved the idea that meals were included and we only had to pack our sewing “stuff!”

The food was delicious and very well presented. Donna and Rick have always been willing to share their recipes and gather feedback after each meal over the years.

Now we are really excited about all of them being published in one cookbook. Stella loves the Baked Oatmeal, and her family knows it will be served every Christmas morning for brunch. Charlotte enjoys making the Italian Wedding Soup for family gatherings at her house. Barbara keeps the Taco
Salad recipe handy because after a family gathering, everyone asked for the recipe. All the meals there have been absolutely delicious, very nutritious and a great variety. Rick has even grilled out for us and built a fire to roast marshmallows to make s’mores. We always look forward to our next trip
and the new recipes in store for us!
